Duane Waterman SJM-6
The first example of a new finger style model, the SJM-6, Small Jumbo Modern. The body is the highest grade of old Brazilian rosewood, very tight and straight grain with a very rare flamed Engelmann spruce top. The offset soundhole provides a larger, useful vibrating area of the top with a more "organic" bracing developed to make the most of this larger vibrating area. The neck is also made of the same fine Brazilian rosewood, strong and dense, adding to the sustain considerably. Easy access to the neck adjusting rod in the head, and an access door in the "down" side to facilitate any further internal adjustments or repairs.
The voice is big and full, and easily responds to the lightest touch - as can be seen in the attached video. This is a unique and incredible fingerstyle style model with very few peers.
